Alton  "Rock" Lewis, 76 of 200 South Main Street Salemburg, NC passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Born January 10, 1945 in Bladen County, he was the son of the late Donnie Lewis and Minnie Ma Leggett. In addition to his parents Alton is also preceded in death by his sisters: Rena Simms, Juanita Marshburn, Onnie and Winskumas, Wilagray Oakley, a brother: Elton Bobby Lewis, son-in-law Chuck Dial.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Zoar Church Cemetery, 740 Zoar Church Rd, Salemburg, NC with Pastor Jim Gore officiating, burial will follow.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton.

Alton is survived by his wife: Wanda Sue Lewis of the home, the were happily married for 51 years, Son: Heath Lee Lewis of Salemburg, Two Daughters: Amanda Sue Godwin and husband Lee of Hope Mills, Rocky Lynn Dial of Hope Mills, one brother: Billy Marshburn and wife Betty of Clinton, 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
