Mr. Alfonza Fryar, son of the late J.B. Fryar and Nettie Pugh was born April 11, 1950 in Clinton, North Carolina. He departed this life on January 2, 2018.

A Home Going Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, burial will follow in the Sandhill Cemetery.

Brother Alfonza joined Holly Grove Disciple of Christ Church at an early age. Brother Alfonza was a caretaker of both parent, will be truly missed but not forgotten. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife, Gladys Fryar, a step son Robert Ireland (Bob), of Milton, Delaware, two brothers, Henry W. Fryar (Kaye) of Kenly, North Carolina and Alfred Jr. Fryar of Fayetteville, North Carolina, two sisters, Annie F. Burke (Monroe) of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Cornelius (Cookie) Peterson-Caldwell (Willie) of Durham, North Carolina. Two aunts, Lillie Stevens of Faison, North Carolina and Margaret Fryar of Warsaw, North Carolina. One special Daughter and one special big sister, several nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm with family present.
