Albert Brown Sr. 81, of 70 Roberts Lane., passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

On July 12, 1942, in Montgomery, Alabama. God blessed the late Jimmy and Ida Brown with their son whom they named Albert Brown. He received his early years of education in Montgomery County Public Schools, where he later worked in the local icehouse. He then moved to New York where he started as a Farm Labor Contractor. He continued his passion for 30 plus years migrating from New York, North Carolina and Florida doing seasonal farm work for various farmers within the three states. He later retired, and handed the family business (A Brown & Sons) over to his sons and made North Carolina his home state.

Albert Brown departed this life on September 16, 2023, at Sampson Regional Hospital where he gained his wings to be with his late wife Barbara Brown, son Albert Brown Jr, grandson Eric Sanders, and daughter Antoinette Spruill.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 11:00 AM Lisbon Street Baptist Church 401 Lisbon Street Clinton, North Carolina 28328

Visitation: Friday September 29, 2023, at Hope Valley Hawkins Chapel 2:00PM - 7:00PM

Albert is survived by three sons; Cornell (Ollie) Brown, Robert Spruill both of North Carolina, Terry Spruill of Florida; three daughters; Sandra Henderson-Brown, Sharon (Frank) Brown-Singleton both of North Carolina; Angela (Darrell) Walcott of Georgia; three sisters; Annie (Arthur) Emerson; Betty (Paul) Ellis; and Rebecca Brown all Mongomery, Alabama; one brother-in-law; Charlie Rollins; one sister-in-law Mary Brown both of Montgomery, Alabama. Grandchildren; Sharonda, Latoya (Lynn Sr.), Dalbert, Shanell, Aaron (Latojahshay), Darius (Marissa), Mirecal, Rogerica, Jasmine, Natasha, Jalen, Roslynn, Sekeena, Charles (Mia), Johnny, Alexis (Ellis), Vontague (Stephon), Maurice, Charika(Frank),Terrell, Kadeja, Terry, Robert Jr, Thaxter, Lamar, Romina, Nusheka, Shaborra, Candice, Alexander; 18 great grandchildren, goddaughter Felisha Mitchell, a special friend Lillie Faison, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family and friends including Roscoe Bennett, Clifford Henderson and Dave Hamilton.
