ShaWarn Zaryck Melvin-Jones

August 25, 1997 ~ October 17, 2019 (age 22)


ShaWarn Zaryck “Sir Prince” Melvin-Jones, also known as “Too Tall Jones”, “Z-Money”, “Jones” and “Tanga”, was born on August 25 1997 in Clinton NC, to Sharmaine Melvin and the late Patrick Jones. ShaWarn departed this earth on October 17 2019.

ShaWarn attended Lakewood High School, graduating in 2015 and was a member of the Marching Band all four years and also was on the football and track teams. After graduating, ShaWarn joined the United States Air Force. During his time in the Air Force, ShaWarn excelled in Physical Fitness and thoroughly enjoyed his duties as an Egress Systems Specialist, while at his duty station in Alaska. After returning to his hometown of Roseboro, ShaWarn flourished in welding and mechanics. ShaWarn also enjoyed building and completing his project car, a 2001 Ford Mustang GT. ShaWarn’s other hobbies included fishing, playing the guitar, Tig welding, Fabricating and helping others.

Home Going Services will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Lakewood High School with burial following at Roseboro Cemetery on Hwy. 242.

ShaWarn was proceeded in death by his father Patrick Jones. ShaWarn is survived by his mother Sharmaine Melvin, brothers Jamal and Amir and sister Masharra, all of Roseboro; brothers Patrick, Paul and Todd Jones; sisters Melisa and LauriAnn Joseph; Shaina, Zenia, Shaida and Aliza Jones; Paternal Grandmother Celeste White of Antigua; Maternal Grandparents, Bobby Sr. “Other Bobby” and Kathy “Mama Noot” Melvin of Roseboro; special Uncle, Bobby Melvin Jr. (Alicia) of Greenville NC; special Aunt, Barbara Jean Parker (Juan) of Salemburg NC; special first cousins Juan Jr and JoAnna Parker of Salemburg; special and dear friends, Junior Gamez and Raven Reyes. ShaWarn also leaves to cherish his memories, a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday. October 26, 2019 from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm with family present from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton.
