Clinton,
Mary Helen Monk 71 passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at her home.
On Wednesday November 28, 2018, God called home our mother, sister, grandmother Mary Helen Monk. She was born in Sampson County to the late Luther Harold and Eldorthy Monk Henry on January 26, 1947.
At an early age she joined Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church. She was married to the late Verlie Monk, Jr. and to this union three children was.
She received her education at Charles E. Perry School, Roseboro, N.C. She worked at Sampson Regional Medical, Clinton, NC until she retired.
Helen as she was affectionally known always enjoyed being with her family. She loved her children and grandchildren, especially her first born grand Terry Ray.
Home going service will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Freddie Herring officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Two sisters Dorothy Ann Henry and Debbie Murphy(Willie) of Salemburg, NC. James Harold Henry(Blonnie) of Clinton, N.C., Ricky Henry of Salemburg, N.C. and Anthony Henry(Bridgett) of Roseboro, N.C. One Brother-in-law Jerry Owens, Seven Sister-in-laws Ernestine McNeill of Washington, D.C. Geraldine McLaurin of Brooklyn, NY, Lou Alice Taylor of Atlantic City, N.J, Willie Anna Parker of Clinton, NC; Judy Marlene Williams, Elaine Owens, Crosby Monk and Alice Williams all of Salemburg, N.C. 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 Step-Grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. One aunt Helena Bryant of Clinton, N.C. Several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 1:00 pm – 6:00 with family present from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton.
