Jimmie Howard 66 passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019.
He was born August 08, 1953 to the late Earl William (Carl V. Williams “Mutt”) and Gloria Carrie Rene Howard.
He attended Sampson County Schools and took automotive courses at Sampson Community College. He was very well mannered and would help anyone if he was asked.
Jimmie loved James Brown, Marvin Gaye and especially Al Green, back in the day he loved the song “Distant Lover”. He always mentioned God, his favorite saying was “Lord Willing”. His favorite gospel song was “Do You Love Him”. At an early age Jimmie was employed at the Piggly Wiggly in Roseboro and Triangle Automotive Sales of Clinton, NC. He moved to New Jersey around 1978 and later returned to NC in 2005.
Jimmie was a song writer, he played the lead guitar and was instrumental in the formation of the gospel group “Last Will and Testament” after the death of his oldest brother Sal.
Home going services will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Mingle Hill Disciple Church, 100 Zoar Church Road, Salemburg burial will follow in the Roseboro Snowhill Cemetery.

Howard, Jr. (Harriette), Friend; Ruby Tatum of Roseboro, NC, sisters; Theresa M. Martin of Clinton, NC, Minister Dora R. Parker of Piscataway, NJ, Minister Lynette Williams of Cottondale, Fl., brothers; Carl V. Williams, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, Ricky Williams (Pam) of Newark NJ, special sisters & brothers; Shirley Jacobs (Ike) of Clinton, NC, Evangeline Williams (Dennis) of Riverdale, GA, Elder David C. Beatty of Salemburg, NC, Ceasar R. Owens of Roseboro, NC, one aunt; Lillie P. Garyer of Muskegon, MI, one uncle; Ronnie L. Howard, Sr. ( Earnestine) of Roseboro, NC, seventeen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the church.
