Essie Mae Ray 73 passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

Home Going Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 9364 Wildcat Rd. Ivanhoe, North Carolina 28447, burial will held at Pilgrim Rest Old Cemetery.

Patricia (Bobby) Williams of Ivanhoe NC. Marion Parker of Clinton NC. One Sister in Law; Joyce Corbett of Ivanhoe NC. Three brothers; Lonza (Joyce) Corbett of Ivanhoe NC. Donald (Josie) Corbett of Plant City FL. Casell Corbett of Orlando Florida. Two Brother in Laws; Gregory Ray of Los Angeles CA and Bobby Williams of Ivanhoe NC. A Special Friend: Catina Johnson of Waycross, 17 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren.

A public walk thru will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 2:00 pm- 7:00 pm with family present from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation and also one hour prior to the service at the church.
