Barbara Vonette Johnson, 67, of Benson, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield. She was born in Campbell County on June 3, 1952 to the late Angelo and Lillian (Phillips) Pelizzari.

Barbara is survived by her significant other: William Bunce of the home, one daughter: Shonda Johnson, two sons: Jimmie Johnson and Donny Johnson, six grandchildren: Thomas Johnson, Casey Johnson, Bridget Johnson, Unita Johnson, Cynthia Johnson, and Ryan Curits, and three grandchildren: Katherine Johnson, Aveanah Johnson, and Milo Curtis.

A private visitation will be held at the convenience of the family.

Barbara’s wishes were to be cremated and to remain at home with her family.
