McKenna Faith Matthews 22, of 26 Hillside Lane, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 at her home. 

McKenna was born in Florida on April 6, 2001. A daughter of Dale and Frances Matthews, McKenna was one of 13 children. She graduated high school from Tar Heel Acadamy in 2019 and was a member the past 5 years of Clinton Community Church. McKenna loved talking on the phone and caring for young children. She especially had a soft spot for her nephews.

McKenna is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Stacy & Shirley Phipps; paternal grandfather, Bill Matthews; and her sister, Leah Matthews.

A Celebration of McKenna's Life will take place at 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Clinton Community Church, 1901 Sunset Ave, Clinton, NC 28328.

There will be a visitation held prior to the service 2:30-3:00 pm within the chapel.

Those left to cherish the memories of McKenna include her parents: Dale and Frances Matthews of the home; siblings: Catherine McKenzie of Newton Grove, Megan Horton of Friendship, TN, Dave Matthews, Elizabeth Matthews, Olivia Matthews, Emily Matthews, Kimberly Smith, Joshua Matthews, Nicholas Matthews, Jesse Matthews, and Tucker Matthews, all of the home; her dog: Kitty; adored nephews: Noah Matthews, Caleb McKenzie, and Mark McCurdy; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family, and friends.
