Louis Stevens Jones was born in Sampson County on December 30, 1980 to his loving mother Velma Herring and father Billy Underwood. Louis departed this physical world, and made his way to the spiritual world on April 14, 2024.

Louis attended Clinton City Schools. He worked for Clinton Appliance, Garland Shirt Factory and Smithfield Packing Co. In his spare time he enjoyed professional move jobs with his special friend Gene Moore.

Louis was a very loving and gentle soul. He always made sure to lend a helping hand when it came to family and he was no stranger to anyone in need of help.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, 3 Sampson Street, Clinton, NC. 

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 1:00-2:00 pm, within Hope Valley Hawkins Chapel.

He is preceded in death by his: Father: Delmonte Herring and Grandmother: Loretta Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Mother: Velma Herring; Fathers: Billy Underwood (Dorthy) & Alferd Miller;  Daughter: Ne’Lexus Jones; Sister: Lashaundra Miller; Brothers: Evigan Underwood & Raymond Joyner; Aunts: Ida Jones, Denise Darden (Charles), and Lula Terry; Special Niece: Daiyona Miller; Special Nephew: Donte Singleton; Special Fur Babies: Diamond, Sally, and Jasmine; As well as a host of other relatives.
