Arex Willie Sellers Jr., beloved son of Arex Sellers Sr. and Laverne Simmons, began his life's journey on August 6, 1981. Tragically, his time with us was cut short on April 7, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Arex was a remarkable individual, known for his boundless love, generosity, and strong work ethic. His hands were his greatest tools, and he showcased his exceptional skills through various endeavors, including automotive work, fence construction, and numerous other labor-intensive tasks. His craftsmanship was unmatched, reflecting his dedication to excellence in everything he pursued.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, 3 Sampson St., Clinton, NC.

For five years, Arex dedicated himself to his work at Coca Cola of Fayetteville, NC where he was not only a valued employee but also found fulfillment and joy in his daily tasks. His unwavering commitment and hard work left a lasting impact on those around him, earning him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Elijah Burnette (Washington, NC), Dashaun Purvis (Warsaw, NC), DaQuan Holliday (Washington, NC), Syreniti Sellers (Fayetteville, NC), and Destiny Sellers (Dunn, NC). Arex also leaves behind his loving parents, Arex Sellers Sr. (Roseboro, NC), and Laverne Simmons (Fayetteville, NC), as well as his siblings: Sherry Morrisey (Jerry), Alesha Powell (Darius), Rachel Sellers, and Shakeen Moore (Jasmine).

Visitation will be 2:00-6:00 pm, with family present 5:00-6:00 pm, on Friday, April 12, 2024 within the Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel.

In addition to his immediate family, Arex will be fondly remembered by his nephews: Dontavion Sellers, Kaishawn Sellers, Stefan Sellers, Jamarii Norman, Kamarii Norman, Jerry Morrisey Jr., Quevis Weaver Jr., Malakhi Moore, and Maijor Moore nieces: Lakkiyah Sellers, Shakeita Sellers, Nadiya Fredrick, and Malaysia Sellers, Zhakiyah Moore and Serenity Moore, eleven great nieces and nephews, aunts: Cynthia Simmons, Peggy Teachey, Natasha Stephens (Jerrod), Lathresha Simmons and Hildegarde Jennings, uncles: Kenneth Simmons, Glenn Simmons (Angela), Anthony Simmons (Barbara Ann) and Michael Simmons.

Arex's presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness, hard work, and devotion to family will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in eternal peace, forever cherished in our hearts.
